Our mission is to empower our clients, while educating those involved by broadening perspectives to fight against disparities in the legal system and the surrounding communities.
Cameron Redd and Michelle Schalliol met while they were in law school where they were trial team partners for two years. They quickly realized they not only worked together well as trial team partners but shared the same values and passions for using their legal careers to build up and empower the clients they represent. Cameron and Michelle both value teamwork, respect, and advocating for better opportunities. They strive to incorporate these values while they represent their clients.
“In my efforts to help others, it is always my goal to embody different perspectives to gain a greater understanding of the situation presented. My passion stems from overcoming many challenges in life. Understanding and overcoming challenges provides opportunities to learn and grow. I value and understand the importance of teamwork, and I look to employ a team philosophy to overcome great challenges.”
Cameron Redd is a founding partner at RS Legal Group. His passion for law goes back to his early childhood. Cameron’s aunt, the Honorable Claudia Jordan, was the first black female judge in the entire Rocky Mountain Region. She was sworn into the Denver County Court in 1994, when Cameron was a small child, before he was able to understand the concepts of law and justice. Cameron visited his aunt every year growing up, and it was through those experiences with his aunt that his love of law was seeded.
Primary Focus
Although Cameron is skilled and trained in general legal practice, he has a passion and interest in education and real estate law. Cameron sees today’s education system as an antiquated system that is long overdue for change. He comes from a family of educators and is familiar with the struggles today’s teachers and students face in and outside of the classroom.
“Teaching is one of the only professions where you can gain a higher degree and keep your pay. Teachers want to teach, not become administrators to get the pay they deserve.”
Cameron’s interest in education law covers everything from student and teacher rights to issues outside the classroom like recruiting and misuse of state-provided funding.
When it comes to real estate law Cameron’s focus is both on the commercial and residential aspects. Buying land, a business, or a home comes with a lot of risks and unknowns. Buyers need an advocate that understands the law to help them navigate the complex nature of real estate transactions and protect their interests.
Cameron’s services in real estate span from acting as a closing attorney for new home buyers as required by North Carolina state law, to negotiating commercial contracts, reviewing leases, permit acquisition, zoning, and advocating for developments.
The Spirit of Selflessness
As a former collegiate athlete, Cameron brings a teamwork mentality approach to his practice. The greatest teams throughout history have come from a combination of great talent who committed to embodying the spirit of selflessness.
“As an attorney, you’re often working with a multitude of different parties. Knowing how to work with others and understanding your role to meet your objective is critical to meeting my client’s needs.”
Today, Cameron passes the lessons of selflessness he learned to local youth as an assistant high school basketball coach.
Your Strongest Advocate
When you hire Cameron you get the peace of mind that comes with knowing you hired a skilled professional that brings an unusual combination of strong people skills and a high-level analytical ability.
Cameron can effectively analyze a situation from all sides, get inside the shoes of all parties, and find new and better solutions than were thought possible. Whether negotiating a tough contract, navigating a dispute, or defending a charge, you get Cameron’s full skill set and attention when you put your trust in him.
When Cameron’s Not Practicing Law
Outside of the office, Cameron spends his time with family, enjoying the outdoors, and mentoring local youth through coaching. Cameron views basketball as a vehicle to reach young people and get them on a path to success for life. He recalls his own high school basketball coach telling his team that if the biggest thing in life that happened to you was playing high school basketball, then your life wasn’t much. It’s this spirit of always looking to the next thing to build upon and get better that motivates Cameron both in and outside of his practice.

"My goal is to use my determination to be a zealous advocate to help my clients resolve their legal issues while empowering them to further their opportunities. As a U.S. Army veteran, mother, and former educator, I am determined, dedicated, and detail oriented. I value the opportunity I have as an attorney to advocate for those who might not have a voice to advocate for themselves."
Michelle Schalliol is a founding partner at RS Legal Group. Her legal skillset is anchored by the discipline, commitment, and attention to detail practices she developed serving in the United States Army.
